Based out of Fort Worth, occasionally in Los Angeles, and often traveling all over, author Kirk Jackson speaks to school classrooms, church programs, MOPS groups, and any audience curious to hear how the book came to be and discuss the challenges of raising an aware child in this topsy-turvy world. Ages 7 to 12

Self publishing was a trial-by-fire adventure that, while successful, brought about many lessons in the publishing industry, designing and writing a children's book, and working with printers to make sure the finished project was just right. Kirk has a 30 minute presentation teaching students about the writing and publishing process, sprinkled with lessons in hard work and fortitude. Kirk has spoken to parent groups and at nearly a dozen MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) gatherings, and he is listed in their speaker registry. Kirk speaks with humor and emotion as he recounts the early years of parenthood and how the book came into existence (hint: there are evil kitty cats and plenty of parenting fails). It’s also an opportunity for some Q&A as we discuss the sometimes weighty subject of children and spirituality, and how that translates to today’s world.
