Going Home Stories was established by Kirk Jackson in 2011 after his wife found herself trying to properly word an answer to their 3 year-old son’s question “What are angels?”. Kirk began to think of how to best introduce his children to the many mysteries and challenges of life and all those unknowns that would have his children asking questions (or seeking answers from unreliable sources). The first step (a subject that seemed to pop up everywhere) was to answer the question “Who is God?” without resorting to hard-to-digest terms like ever-present, all-knowing and all-powerful. Thus, the first book in the I Want You to Know series: I Want You to Know: The Wonder of God began to take shape. It’s release date was May 2012 with other books in the series already in development.
